Making a difference, one volunteer at a time

Employees around the globe join forces for Turner Volunteer Day 2017
From Atlanta to Mumbai and London to Shanghai, Turner employees came together to make a difference. This year, more than 3,300 employees in 30 Turner offices worldwide took part in Turner Volunteer Day – the company’s annual global day of service. For the past 18 years, Turner employees have made this special day of giving back to the community a day to remember.
“Giving back is part of who we are at Turner,” says John Martin, Turner’s Chairman and CEO. “I am so proud of all our teams around the globe for setting aside time from their work and daily lives to support our local communities – not only on Turner Volunteer Day but throughout the year.”
In 2017, the Turner family pitched in on more than 90 different volunteer projects for more than 125 charities – from writing letters to deployed U.S. troops to caring for animals to feeding the homeless.
“Not many companies can say that thousands of their employees were willing to stop what they are doing, roll up their sleeves, and give of themselves to make a difference for our community,” says Betsy Holland, director - Culture & Engagement. “The time and energy all of our employees dedicate to Turner Volunteer Day each year is a testament to Turner’s incredible spirit of giving.”
