Time Warner among top 50 companies for diversity
May 10, 2018
Turner’s parent company, Time Warner, has been named one of DiversityInc’s Top 50 Companies for Diversity.
"Time Warner's commitment to diversity in the workplace and the content we produce is a priority across all our businesses, and a key driver of our company's success,” says Jeff Bewkes, Time Warner Chairman and CEO. “We are dedicated to promoting this culture on-screen, through diverse talent and powerful stories from new voices, and off screen, by creating an inclusive, progressive work environment where employees can thrive."
Ranked at #39 on the 2017 list, Time Warner was honored because of its representation of women and other minorities in management roles and because half of the company’s managers participate in mentoring programs, while one third of employees participate in employee resource groups.
More than 1,800 companies participated in this year’s survey. The list – which began in 2001 - is comprised of corporate survey submissions and is not pay to play. Companies are evaluated in four key areas: talent pipeline, talent development, leadership accountability, and supplier diversity – all within the context of their own industries.
