How to Apply for a Grant

Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. is committed to giving back to the communities where our employees live and work. To make the most significant impact, the company concentrates its efforts on education for at-risk Atlanta public high school students, the environment and arts organizations.

Instructions

Grant proposals are accepted throughout the year however, grants are typically awarded to non-profit organizations that our Corporate Contributions Department has proactively sought for partnerships.  Since the department receives funding requests far in excess of its budget, worthy causes may be declined when even when the request falls into one of the three focus areas.

In a letter, please tell us your nonprofit organization's:

  • History
  • Mission
  • Achievements
  • Goals
  • Needs

    Include a brief description of:

  • The proposed project
  • Whom it will serve
  • The total budget
  • Other persons or organizations supporting the project
  • When it will take place
  • How TBS, Inc. can involve our employees

    Finally, please provide:

  • Complete contact information
  • Evidence of tax-exempt status

    Please keep in mind that Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. does not make charitable contributions to:

  • Individuals
  • Travel or tours
  • Religious organizations
  • Fraternal organizations
  • Athletic organizations
  • Social or veterans groups
  • Sports events or teams
  • Charities sponsored solely by a single civic organization
  • Courtesy or journal advertising campaigns
  • Multi-year commitments
  • Private Schools
