Vice President and Managing Editor for CNN International Asia Pacific

Ellana Lee is Vice President and Managing Editor for CNN International Asia Pacific, based in the network’s regional headquarters in Hong Kong. As head of the network and its entire editorial output, she manages CNN International’s award-winning on-air and online news and feature programming produced throughout the region, including the correspondents and newsgathering teams across 12 operations from Kabul to Seoul. While under her management, CNN International has received a variety of prestigious awards in the Asia Pacific region, including most recently ‘Cable and Satellite Network of the Year’ and ‘Cable and Satellite Channel of the Year’ at the 2011 Asian Television Awards.

In recognition of her leadership position, Lee was named a ‘Young Global Leader’ by the World Economic Forum, is an Asia 21 fellow as awarded by the Asia Society, and a graduate of Harvard’s ‘Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century’ Executive Program.

She is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Lee holds a Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from New York University and an undergraduate degree in History and International Relations from Georgetown University.
