Steve Marcopoto
Steve Marcopoto is the President of and Managing Director, Turner International Asia Pacific Limited (Turner), a Time Warner company, which creates and programs branded news, entertainment, animation, and young adult and sports media environments on television and other platforms for consumers around Asia Pacific.
Based in Hong Kong, Marcopoto oversees all programming; network development; advertising and distribution sales; and marketing and promotion for Turner and its diverse bouquet of 27 channels and 29 websites and digital services in the Asia Pacific region. This includes the CNN news group, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, POGO, TCM Turner Classic Movies, Tabi Channel, MondoTV, WB, QTV and truTV.
Since taking the helm as President and Managing Director in 1998, Steve has overseen the growth of the business in Asia Pacific from the first linear, pan-regional TV channel to a multimedia, multi-language, multi-territory enterprise creating award-winning genres and brands. In the Asia Pacific region, Turner has also grown from 60 employees in Hong Kong in 1998 to more than 900 in eleven countries today. Under his leadership Turner has continued to lead the industry by example, embracing change and technology at every opportunity and entertaining and informing millions along the way with a vast array of award-winning content.
