Sunny Saha
Soumitra (Sunny) Saha is Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Entertainment Networks, Turner International Asia Pacific Limited (Turner). Based in Hong Kong, Saha is responsible for overseeing the corporate development of Turner’s pan-regional portfolio of entertainment brands, identifying growth opportunities in new and established markets. This extends to new channel launches, joint ventures, acquisitions and strategic partnerships to consistently expand and strengthen Turner’s industry presence in the region. A firm believer in the power of brands to drive reach and build affinity amongst consumers, Saha spearheads Turner’s ‘Brands Everywhere’ approach to original content and is tasked with the development of premium branded environments spanning television, online, mobile, retail, publishing, live events and theme parks.
In addition to his pan-regional responsibilities, Saha also oversees Turner’s business interests and networks in South East Asia and Australia/New Zealand ensuring the successful marketing, operation and distribution of leading entertainment channels Boomerang, Cartoon Network, TCM Turner Classic Movies and truTV.
Internationally, Saha is the Global Initiatives Lead for Turner Broadcasting System International, Inc. where his remit is to direct the successful planning and execution of global projects, working to improve integrated efficiencies and effectiveness across EMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific.
