Yew Ming Lau is Senior Vice President and Managing Director, North Asia with Turner International Asia Pacific Limited (Turner). Based in Hong Kong, Lau oversees Turner’s business in Japan, South Korea and Greater China, including the company’s TV, digital, content production, syndication, licensing and merchandising activities. He is responsible for the CNN news group, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, TCM Turner Classic Movies, truTV, Tabi Channel, MondoTV, QTV and Turner’s interest in CETV.
Lau joined Turner in 2002, leading the development and implementation of Turner’s regional strategic and business development plans across all TV and digital platforms. Prior to that, he held various roles at Publishing and Broadcasting Limited (PBL) and Acxiom in Australia as well as Home Box Office (HBO) in New York. Lau holds an MBA from Columbia University in New York (1993) and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) degree from the University of Sydney (1988).
