According to the vision laid out by executives during the annual Upfront presentation today in New York, TBS and TNT will undertake a major transformation over the next two years, evolving from linear television networks into branded video destinations.
Three-time Oscar® nominee Debra Winger has chosen four diverse and fascinating films for her night as TCM's Guest Programmer on Tuesday, May 22. Winger will join TCM host Robert Osborne to introduce John Huston's film version of Tennessee Williams' The Night of the Iguana (1964), Wim Wenders' rich fantasy Wings of Desire (1987), Jules Dassin's French heist film Rififi(1955) and the sultry film noir Gilda (1946).
TCM announces that cabins for the second TCM Classic Cruise are now available for booking. The TCM Classic Cruise will set sail on its second voyage Jan. 21-26, 2013, departing from Miami, traveling to Grand Cayman and Cozumel.
Following in the footsteps of last year's comedy collection featuring beloved actress Jean Arthur, Turner Classic Movies (TCM)and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE) are now proud to present The Jean Arthur Drama Collection, a four-movie set featuring Whirlpool(1934), Most Precious Thing in Life (1934), The Defense Rests (1934) and Party Wire (1935).
TNT is expanding its slate of unscripted dramas with the addition of two exciting new series: the police procedural docu-drama Boston Blue (working title), from executive producer Donnie Wahlberg (Blue Bloods, Boomtown), and the high-octane competition series 72 Hours, (working title) from the executive producer of Extreme Makeover and The Moment of Truth. TNT has ordered eight episodes of each series, with plans to launch them in 2013.
