Captain Planet and the Planeteers and The New Adventures of Captain Planet feature a "rogues' gallery" of villains who live to plunder the environment. On occasion, two or more of these villains work together to heighten their danger to the planet.
The villains know that what they are doing is wrong, but they do it anyway - usually out of greed, meanness, selfishness or a desire for personal power. They will exploit innocent people's lack of knowledge regarding environmental issues in order to achieve personal gains.
The villains do not usually use conventional weapons, although they may adapt some pollution device in an attempt to stop Captain Planet. They may even try to capture the Planeteers to stop them from summoning Captain Planet.
They frequently bully and insult their subordinates, and when they team up with other villains, there tends to be a lot of infighting, bickering and finger pointing.
