Cartoon Network Anything has EVERYTHING!

Designed specifically for the small screen, Cartoon Network will be launching its first micro-network application built exclusively for your phone and tablet. The Cartoon Network Anything app, available across Africa for free, contains exclusive content allowing Cartoon Network African fans to engage with their favourite shows and characters in a whole new world on their portable mobile platforms, rapidly delivering entertainment in a unique and fun way – an innovation that’s never been seen before on the continent.

Cartoon Network Anything is home to an ever-growing and ever-changing stream of micro-content consisting of games, activities, trivia quizzes and interactive video games, lasting 10 to 15 seconds.

“Cartoon Network Anything is unlike anything we’ve ever designed,” says Pierre Branco, Vice President and General Manager of Southern Europe and Africa for Turner Africa. “What kid (or adult) isn’t attached to their mobile devices nowadays? This app is a whole new way to engage with our audience in Africa, constantly maintaining a high level of suspense about ‘what will come next?’.”

Africa has emerged as one of the fastest growing markets for mobile phones in the world with 85% of South Africa’s population, estimated to be close to 55 million, now spending on average 2.98 hours a day on their mobile phones (Source: Global Web Index 2016).

So now kids in Africa will be able to enjoy hit franchises like Ben 10, Powerpuff Girls, Teen Titans Go, Regular Show, Gumball, We Bare Bears and Adventure Time – along with the all new Mighty Magiswords – all feature, but what makes the app so innovative is that everything is created exclusively for the app.

Young fans can spot the difference, draw ears on Anais, complete quizzes, make characters dance, or sit back and watch fun new video clips moving from one to the next by simply swiping the screen.  The perpetually-updated stream is delivered randomly, providing entertainment that feels both immediate and everlasting.

“Cartoon Network Anything is the next step in the network’s mobile expansion, with a platform-specific strategy that provides content unseen anywhere else in the marketplace,” concludes Branco.

The app is free and available for download from 26 January 2017 on the App Store, Google Play and Amazon for smartphones and tablets.

Get Cartoon Network Anything now! Awesomeness awaits!
