Cartoon Network Gets Up Close and Personal with Marceline the Vampire Queen in Adventure Time “Stakes”

Adventure Time’s eight-part miniseries ‘Stakes’ premieres
on Monday 14th March at 5pm on Cartoon Network
[London, UK]: The Land of Ooo is back—and this time, Cartoon Network is delving into the complicated and mysterious past of one of Adventure Time’s most intriguing characters, Marceline the Vampire Queen. “Stakes,” an eight-part journey into the diary of Marceline the Vampire Queen, is the latest in a long line of must-see’s from the prolific, BAFTA and Emmy® Award-winning Adventure Time team. Viewers can sink their teeth into “Stakes” with a four-night special event beginning on Monday 14th March at 5pm on Cartoon Network.
Marceline the Vampire Queen wishes to be an undead, red-sucker no more, but can Princess Bubblegum concoct a cure? At the same time, five of Marceline’s most fearsome foes return from her past. What might her most powerful nemesis, the Vampire King, have in store? Finn, Jake, Princess Bubblegum and their friends join the Vampire Queen’s fight against her immortal enemies. But for Marceline, the stakes have never been higher throughout these eight special episodes of Adventure Time!
Series regulars Olivia Olson (Marceline), Jeremy Shada (Finn), John DiMaggio (Jake), Hynden Walch (Princess Bubblegum) and Tom Kenny (Ice King) are joined by guest stars Rebecca Romijn (The Empress), Billy Brown (The Vampire King), composer and actor Paul Williams (The Hierophant), Ron Funches (The Fool), Beau Billingslea (The Moon) and Kyle Kinane (Cloud Dance). In her voice acting debut, Steven Universe creator Rebecca Sugar joins the cast as the voice of Marceline’s mother.
A modern day fable, the Emmy® and BAFTA Award–winning animated series Adventure Time has become a global success since its premiere in 2010, attracting adult and kid viewers in their millions. It follows the adventures of best bros Finn the Human and Jake the shape-shifting dog as they navigate the mysterious Land of Ooo, alongside many other popular characters including Princess Bubblegum, Lady Rainicorn, Lumpy Space Princess, the Ice King and Marceline the Vampire Queen. Created by Pendleton Ward and produced by Cartoon Network Studios, season six is currently airing across Europe, the Middle East and Africa and season seven will premiere in the region this spring 2016.
