Cartoon Network launches Adventure Time’s first-ever interactive gaming experience

Cartoon Network, the home of Adventure Time, offers UK fans “An Ooo Experience”

London, 10th June 2016: Cartoon Network UK announced today it has commissioned an exclusive interactive gaming experience; “An Ooo Experience”, to celebrate the animated cult series, Adventure Time.  From 11th June - 10th July, Adventure Time’s “An Ooo Experience”, will travel across UK shopping centers, offering fans a chance to jump into the Land of Ooo and play alongside their favourite characters as they battle to save Candy Kingdom from the Nightosphere.

Developed by technological wizards Hellicar&Lewis, “An Ooo Experience” places players in front of a giant LED Screen. Motion sensors allow them to then interact and play with all manner of amazing characters and landscapes from Adventure Time. Guided by a real life Wizard of Ooo, they will be taken on a journey through The Candy Kingdom. Along the way they will transform into life-size versions of their favourite Adventure Time characters – Finn, Jake, Marceline or Princess Bubblegum. They will have the power to shoot magic from their fingertips, move mountains, grow candy floss trees, breathe life into rainbows and even take part in a massive dance party.

Richard Kinning, UK Creative Director at Turner, says: “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Hellicar&Lewis to launch Adventure Time’s first-ever live interactive experience. This game was inspired by our massive fan-base for the show; we wanted to offer them a unique Adventure Time experience like never before. ‘An Ooo Experience’ offers players a mix of theatre, character interaction and the opportunity to explore and immerse themselves in the Land of Ooo. We hope it attracts both existing fans and also new ones who just fall in love with the characters like we have.”

Adventure Time is a Cartoon Network original series that charts the adventures of unlikely heroes Finn and Jake, who traverse the mystical land of Ooo, encountering its colourful inhabitants along the way. The series is created by Pendleton Ward and produced by Cartoon Network Studios. Adventure Time currently airs everyday at 5:00pm on Cartoon Network.
