CNN ‘ON CHINA’: MILITARY
Wednesday, September 28, 2016
China's military is in the midst of major reforms. President Xi Jinping has moved to modernize and reorganize the People’s Liberation Army while continuing his anti-corruption purge. And he has extended the reach of the world’s largest fighting force, with new high-tech weapons and an overseas naval base.
This month, “On China” explores Beijing’s military might, from the South China Sea to cyberspace. CNN’s Kristie Lu Stout sits down with Tong Zhao, an associate at the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy; Jamil Anderlini, Financial Times Asia Editor; and Bryce Boland, Chief Technology Officer of FireEye for Asia-Pacific.
