Industry Influential Christine Merrifield Joins Turner as Senior Vice President

Turner has appointed well-renowned executive Christine Merrifield to senior vice president, ad sales strategy and monetization. A key member of Turner Ad Sales’ executive leadership team and taking on a new role within the company, Merrifield will align with the sales, content partnerships, client strategy & ad innovation, and data & operations teams to identify and prioritize new ad revenue models, acquitisions and partnership opportunities. Based in New York, she reports to Donna Speciale, president of Turner Ad Sales.

Previously with MediaVest Worldwide as president of investment and activation, Merrifield has a robust track record of accomplishments across buying and selling, and is consistently part of thought leadership media coverage and conferences. As a core member of the executive leadership team at MediaVest, she focused heavily on market negotiations, new business development and cross channel media strategy. She was responsible to the CEO and client CMO for the management and leadership of each media buy, and during her time, led the agency’s first Digital Upfront.
Before joining MediaVest, where she spent over 10 years and reported to Speciale, Merrifield was senior vice president, group client director at Mediacom. She also held leadership roles at Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution as director of national advertising sales and at Grey Advertising as a national television buyer.
Merrifield’s accomplishments have been well-recognized by the industry, with nods including TV Week “Media Buyer of the Year” (2014), Adweek “Media Agency of the Year” (2014), Broadasting & Cable “Digital All Star” (2013) and AWNY’s Working Mother of the Year (2008). Her philanthropic efforts with the the Partnership with Children Foundation led to a 2014 Leadership Award. She is also an Ad Council Video Co-Chair.
A graduate of State University of New York at Buffalo, Merrifield resides in Blue Point, New York with her husband and three children. She recently completed certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt at Villanova University.
