Joel Whitten “Whit” Richardson III

Joel Whitten “Whit” Richardson III is executive vice president of distribution and marketing for Turner Latin America. Richardson oversees Turner Latin America’s pan-regional distribution team, which is responsible for the Company’s largest portfolio of networks in any region in the world.  The Pay TV channels Turner Latin America distributes include Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Tooncast, TNT, Space, TCM, I.Sat, truTV, Glitz*, HTV, TBS veryfunny, MuchMusic, CNN en Español, CNN International, EI MAXX and EI MAXX 2.  Richardson also spearheads the Company’s ongoing TV Everywhere and digital distribution initiative.  He oversees affiliate sales marketing efforts with teams in Buenos Aires, Santiago, São Paulo, Bogota, Mexico City and Miami.

Richardson played a key role in the division’s most significant equity transactions, including the acquisition and successful integration of the Claxson’s Pay TV business, Imagen Satelital, in Buenos Aires where he was based until 2014, as General Manager.  He sits on the board of CNN Chile and the steering committee of Chilevisión. Based in Atlanta, Richardson reports to Juan Carlos Urdaneta, president of Turner Latin America.
