NBA Legend Bill Russell to be Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at First-Ever NBA Awards on TNT, Monday, June 26

The NBA and Turner today announced Bill Russell – a Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient, Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer and 11-time NBA Champion with the Boston Celtics – will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the first-ever NBA Awards on TNT, airing Monday, June 26, with coverage beginning at 9 p.m. ET.

Monty Williams to Receive Inaugural Sager Strong Award During NBA Awards on TNT, Monday, June 26, at 9 p.m. ET

Turner today announced that Monty Williams will be the recipient of the inaugural Sager Strong Award at the first-ever NBA Awards on TNT, airing Monday, June 26, with coverage beginning at 9 p.m. ET.  The Sager Strong Award, named for iconic Turner Sports sideline reporter Craig Sager, will be presented annually to an individual who has been a trailblazer while exemplifying courage, faith, compassion and grace.

He oversees the Turner EMEA insights remit including the implementation of a fully cross-platform business intelligence function to support the company’s aggressive expansion of kids and GE branded destinations across all parts of the digital ecosystem.  Cosa also collaborates closely with the international CNN data insights function to maximise all insights across all of Turner’s brands and consumers.

TNTs Inside the NBA presented by Kia postgame show featuring host Ernie Johnson and analysts Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille ONeal included a special appearance by the cast of the upcoming movie Entourage last night following the decisive NBA Eastern Conference Finals Game 4 in Cleveland. Stars from the movie based on the award-winning hit HBO series including Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara and Adrian Grenier joined the Inside the NBA team on the set to talk about the upcoming movie, premiering in theaters Wednesday, June 3.
