NBA TV to Televise Live Game Coverage of FIBA Americas Championship & EuroBasket 2015

NBA TV will present 10 live games from the FIBA Americas Championship and EuroBasket 2015 international tournaments. The network’s coverage will start with four second round games from the FIBA Americas Championship in Mexico City from Sept. 6-9. EuroBasket game coverage will tip off from Lille, France, with two quarterfinal games on Tuesday, Sept. 15, and Wednesday, Sept. 16, beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET both days. Semifinal match-ups from EuroBasket 2015 will be televised Thursday, Sept. 17, and Friday, Sept. 18, at 3 p.m.

Minnesota Timberwolves teammates Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett are expected to represent Canada alongside Boston Celtics center Kelly Olynyk in the FIBA Americas Championship. Toronto Raptors power forward Luis Scola (Argentina) is also expected to participate, while University of Louisville men’s basketball head coach Rick Pitino will serve in the same capacity for the Puerto Rico National Team. Additional teams include Brazil, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Dallas Mavericks veteran Dirk Nowitzki (Germany) is one of several NBA stars expected to participate in EuroBasket 2015, along with Chicago Bulls and Spanish teammates Pau Gasol and Nikola Mirotic, and San Antonio Spurs and French teammates Tony Parker and Boris Diaw. Additional teams include Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Greece, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine.

NBA TV’s EuroBasket 2015 live telecast schedule is provided below. Teams participating in the EuroBasket quarterfinals and semifinals, as well as the FIBA Americas Championship teams and game times, will be determined following the conclusion of the opening rounds of each tournament.

The finals participants in both the 2015 FIBA Americas Championship and EuroBasket 2015 will qualify for the 2016 Men’s Olympic Basketball Tournament in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
