New Agreement Extends Television, Digital and Marketing Rights Through 2032

INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA today announced an eight-year extension of its multimedia rights agreement with CBS Sports and Turner, a division of Time Warner, for the Division I Men’s Basketball Championship. The new contract extends the agreement through 2032, and ensures that one of the premier American sports events will be telecast by two of the world’s preeminent media companies for almost two more decades.

Turner Sports and CBS Sports’ exclusive coverage of the 2016 NCAA® Division I Men’s Basketball Final Four® on Saturday, April 2 (6-11 p.m. ET), will tip off with Oklahoma against Villanova (6:09 p.m. ET) on TBS.  North Carolina against Syracuse will follow 40 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.  Jim Nantz, Grant Hill and Bill Raftery will call the games with reporter Tracy Wolfson.

Acclaimed Rock Band THE KILLERS Perform “Shot at the Night” As Part of the 2014 NCAA MARCH MADNESS Marketing Campaign

As fans got pumped for some of the most exciting moments of the year, they were treated to rock band The Killers Shot at the Night as the 2014 featured musical backdrop for the NCAA Division I Mens Basketball Championship on TBS, CBS, TNT and truTV. Produced by Turner Sports and featured across a broad media portfolio spanning CBS Sports and Turner Sports platforms, the new content was filmed at The Skywalk outside of Grand Canyon National Park, and was designed to ignite the passion and thrill of NCAA March Madness.Since forming the band over 10 years ago, The Killers have gone on to sell over 20 million albums worldwide, headlined festivals across the globe, performed at the White House and picked up a myriad of awards. In celebration of their first decade together, the band released Direct Hits this past November, featuring tracks from their four incredible albums, along with two brand new songs, including Shot at the Night. The Killers is comprised of Brandon Flowers on vocals, guitarist Dave Keuning, bassist Mark Stoermer and drummer Ronnie Vannucci.

Hill and Raftery will join the team of Jim Nantz and reporter Tracy Wolfson to call games together throughout the 2015 NCAA Tournament, culminating with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Final Four and National Championship from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
