Michael Showalter
Executive Producer

Michael Showalter is an actor, writer, director and producer. He is a founding member of the New York-based comedy groups The State and Stella. In 2001, he co-wrote and starred in cult comedy Wet Hot American Summer with Paul Rudd, Bradley Cooper, and Amy Poehler, among many others. In 2005, Showalter made his feature length directorial debut with The Baxter, starring Michelle Williams, Justin Theroux and Elizabeth Banks. In 2009, he co-created the Comedy Central series Michael and Michael Have Issues with Michael Ian Black. He also co-wrote and produced the Lionsgate film They Came Together starring Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler in 2014. In 2015, Showalter co-created and starred in the Netflix series Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, which reunited the entire cast of the original film for an eight-episode prequel, as well as the 2017 Netflix series Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later.

Showalter has emerged as one of the most exciting writer-directors of the independent film world in recent years. In 2016, Showalter directed and co-wrote Hello, My Name is Doris starring Sally Field, released by Roadside Attractions. Showalter also directed The Big Sick, produced by Judd Apatow and written by Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon, which was released to massive critical acclaim and quickly became the most successful independent films of the summer. He is attached as Executive Producer on the upcoming second season of the TBS series Search Party, starring Alia Shawkat. Showalter co-created the series with Fort Tilden writer/directors Sarah-Violet Bliss and Charles Rogers. Showalter currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife Kalin, their two children, and four cats.

 

Sarah-Violet Bliss & Charles Rogers
Creators and Executive Producers

Sarah-Violet Bliss and Charles Rogers are the co-creators, co-writers and co-directors of Search Party, a TV series on TBS. Previously, the pair co-wrote and co-directed the feature film Fort Tilden, which won the Grand Jury Prize for Narrative Feature at the 2014 SXSW Film Festival. Sarah-Violet and Charles also wrote for Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp and Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later, as well as season two of Amazon’s Mozart In The Jungle, which won a Golden Globe for Best Comedy Series. Bliss and Rogers attended NYU Tisch School’s Graduate Film Program together. Bliss attended Oberlin College and is originally from Brooklyn, NY; Rogers attended St. Edward’s University and is originally from the Texas-Mexico border.

Lilly Burns is an Emmy-nominated and Peabody Award-winning creative producer at Jax Media, where she writes, directs and develops television projects. She is an executive producer on Broad City (Comedy Central) and Search Party(TBS). Burns is also a producer on Younger (TV Land), Inside Amy Schumer (Comedy Central), and Difficult People (Hulu) and was a producer on A Very Murray Christmas (Netflix).
