Play alongside your favourite Adventure Time characters in the sequel to the hit Card Wars app, featuring higher social engagement and brand new components

15 July, 2016 – Fans of Jake the Dog, Finn the Human and the rest of the Adventure Time cast are set for more escapades in the fantastical Land of Ooo, with the launch of Cartoon Network’s free Adventure Time Card Wars Kingdom app for iOS and Android. The app takes meta-gaming to the next level, offering brand new functions and a new level of social engagement with real time Player versus Player battles, Tournaments and Alliances.

The app is the sequel to the phenomenally successful Adventure Time Card Wars app - Cartoon Network’s most downloaded game ever, with Australia in the top three countries for game downloads globally. Adventure Time Card Wars Kingdom has launched just ahead of a specially-curated “Daddy Daughter Card Wars” episode airing during an Adventure Time Weekend Special on Cartoon Network between 15-17 July, mixing fiction with reality as the show’s characters battle it out with the new game.

Adventure Time Card Wars Kingdom continues with a card game format featuring voice overs from the cast. Immersing players in Adventure Time’s mythical Land of Ooo fans can enjoy interactive, 3D graphics and unique battle animations. The ultimate goal is to eliminate your opponent’s creatures - like the Ping, Wandering Bald Man and the Ancient Scholar, popular characters from the original app - before they obliterate yours.

Fans have the chance to become their favourite character with a choice of Awesome Leaders, or “Heroes” allowing players to customise their strategies. Picks range from unlucky-in-love Finn the Human and the Vampire Queen Marceline, musically talented despite her daddy issues, to the troubled yet misunderstood Ice King, the clever and controlling Princess Bubblegum and Finn’s cool crime-fighting sidekick, Jake the Dog.

Fans can switch between playing against other people (Player versus Player) or trying their luck against the game’s AI (Player versus Environment), can loan creatures to other players to use in Player versus Environment battles and add players to their Ally list to earn additional in-game currency.

Five different card options - Creature Cards, Attack Cards, Spell Cards, Floop Cards and Augment Cards, provide a variety of options for thwarting opponents and getting ahead in the game. The app also presents a number of challenges including Battle Missions, Dungeon Missions, Strike Missions and Expedition Missions.

Key features of the Adventure Time Card Wars Kingdom app include:

  1. Original story and voiceover from the Adventure Time cast
  2. Multiplayer and PvP capabilities, team building and alliances with other
players, collectable battle creatures and chat functionality
  3. New 3D town interface - Choose Goose Store, Battle and PvP buildings, post
    office and more
  4. Bigger emphasis on creature cards (leveling, augmentation and evolution)
  5. Daily missions, expeditions and card creation
  6. Turn Based Combat System
  7. New Card Deck Management System
