Stephano Kim is executive vice president of digital strategy and operations/chief data strategist for Turner. In this role, he and his team utilize data insights to connect consumers with premium branded content while delivering quality, high-value audiences to brand marketers. Kim is based in New York and reports to Lenny Daniels, president of Turner Sports.
In October 2014, Kim joined Turner to lead the newly-formed Data Strategy and Ad Products group. The team group’s goal is to enhance opportunities for clients and agencies to transact with Turner Ad Sales in new ways that optimize their integrated marketing campaigns and drive audience growth for Turner’s brands through more effective marketing and programming decisions.
Prior to joining Turner and for the past decade, Kim has been working with early stage data and technology companies as an advisor, investor, and operator. He has built and scaled e-commerce marketplaces, digital marketing and ad technology platforms, consumer databases, and cross channel CRM platforms. He has also advises several venture capital and private equity funds as an operating advisor, while overseeing Springhouse Capital, a private seed-stage angel fund that has made investments in almost two dozen early stage companies.
Kim received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, where he serves on the University Council, and a master’s degree in business administration, with honors, from Columbia Business School. He resides on the upper west side of Manhattan with his wife and three daughters.
