Sunday MLB on TBS to Feature the Chicago Cubs – Owners of MLB’s Best Record – in Consecutive Weeks

Cubs to Visit National League West-Leading Los Angeles Dodgers, August 28, at 4 p.m. ET;
Host NL Wild Card-Leading San Francisco Giants, September 4, at 2 p.m.

Sunday MLB on TBS will showcase the Chicago Cubs, owners of baseball’s best record (81-45), in each of the next two weeks.  Chicago and probable starting pitcher Jon Lester (5-0, 2.28 ERA since the All-Star break) will first visit fellow National League Postseason contender and the NL West-leading Los Angeles Dodgers with rookie All-Star Corey Seager, on August 28, at 4 p.m. ET.  Brian Anderson (play-by-play) and Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr. (analyst) will provide commentary for the game, with the telecast available locally in Los Angeles.

The Cubs and NL MVP candidate Kris Bryant will appear on TBS for the second consecutive Sunday when they host the NL Wild Card-leading San Francisco Giants and All-Star Buster Posey on September 4 at 2 p.m.  The full national telecast will be called by Anderson and veteran MLB on TBS analyst Ron Darling.

TBS is in its 9th consecutive year of live MLB regular season game coverage, with a lineup featuring 13 regular season Sunday afternoon telecasts and an extensive MLB Postseason schedule including the exclusive presentation of the American League Wild Card Game, both American League Division Series and the American League Championship Series in 2016.
