Super Deluxe Releases New Series David,
Starring Nathan Fielder
This morning, Turner's online video brand Super Deluxe released all five episodes of the new web series David, starring Nathan Fielder (Nathan for You) and written and directed by Dean Fleischer-Camp (Marcel the Shell). David tells the tale of an aimless and depressed down-and-outer (Fielder) who attempts to repair his life after learning he has only five weeks left to live. Jenny Slate (Zootopia, Kroll Show) guest stars.
"I wrote this two years ago after a tarot reader told me I had an illness," said Fleischer-Camp. "As far as I know, that's not true. But a lot of the other things she said turned out to be true."
David is now available to stream on the Super Deluxe YouTube channel and Facebook page. The web series is the latest of Super Deluxe's projects to showcase the company's commitment to producing eccentric, subversive and entertaining comedy that inspires conversation. Other recent releases include a three-episode web series with internet sensation Joanne the Scammer; the viral Hillary Clinton: Meme Queen parody ad, a collaboration with Youtube personality Mike Diva; and a Facebook livestream funeral for Harambe the gorilla.
