TBS greenlights "Final Space," animated series from Olan Rogers

Turner's TBS has greenlit the new animated series FINAL SPACE, an interstellar comedy created by independent filmmaker, actor, comedian and entrepreneur Olan Rogers. The series is being produced by Conan O'Brien's Conaco and New Form, in association with Turner's Studio T.

TBS renews "Full Frontal with Samantha Bee" for 2017

TBS's Emmy®-nominated, award-winning late-night show "Full Frontal with Samantha Bee" has been renewed for a second season starting in 2017. Hailed by The New Yorker as "America’s new Comedian-in-Chief," Samantha Bee will continue her weekly series for another year. In addition, the series is moving to a new timeslot, Wednesdays at 10:30 p.m. (ET/PT), starting Jan. 11.

TBS & TNT announce Network Strategy and Innovation Team

Turner's TBS & TNT have created a new business strategy unit dedicated to accelerating the popular networks' marketplace transformation under Kevin Reilly, president of TBS & TNT and chief creative officer for Turner Entertainment. To lead this new team, Reilly has tapped David Beck and Jesse Redniss, the co-founding partners of BRaVe Ventures, a leading strategic advisory and investment firm specializing in the technology, media and entertainment "(r)evolution."

Samantha Bee to interview her first male President - Barack Obama - on Monday

Next week on TBS, "Full Frontal with Samantha Bee" will feature a thought-provoking interview with President Barack Obama. A legal scholar and former junior Senator from Illinois, Mr. Obama has served the past eight years as the President of the United States of America. Samantha Bee's interview of President Obama will air on TBS Monday, Oct. 31, at 10:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

TBS orders Tracy Morgan comedy series

TBS's stable of original comedies continues to grow with the straight-to-series pick-up of a new series from comedy superstar and multiple Emmy® nominee Tracy Morgan. The untitled series is being created and executive-produced by Jordan Peele (Key & Peele) and John Carcieri (Vice Principals).

Turner licenses iconic "Star Wars" Film Collection

Turner has entered into multi-year licensing agreements for the "Star Wars" movie collection through unprecedented domestic deals with The Walt Disney Studios and 20th Century Fox that grant TNT & TBS the exclusive linear basic cable and companion ad-supported on-demand rights to "Star Wars." The agreement with Disney for 10 films includes the network premiere windows to last year's record-breaking "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and this year's highly anticipated "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," which opens in theaters on December 16, 2016. The Disney agreement also includes five of the six original classic "Star Wars" films, as well as the network television premieres of the next three yet-to-be-released movies. The installment that launched the franchise, "Star Wars: A New Hope," comes to Turner through a separate arrangement with 20th Century Fox, thus making Turner the only company with basic cable rights to all 11 titles in the collection.

TBS greenlights "The Guest Book" and animated series "Tarantula"

TBS has greenlit "The Guest Book," a scripted comedy created by Emmy Award winner Greg Garcia and produced by CBS Television Studios, and "Tarantula," from creator Carson Mell and Rough House Pictures, the network's first original primetime animated series under the new TBS brand. Both series are slated to launch in 2017. TBS has also ordered a pilot for "World's End," a scripted comedy from Electus, writer/executive producer Jonathan Ames and executive producer Ben Silverman, with Hamish Linklater and Wanda Sykes set to star.
