TCM to Remember Legendary Comedic Actor Gene Wilder on Sept. 29

Programming Tribute to Include Young Frankenstein (1974) & Start the Revoultion Without Me (1970)

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will celebrate the life and career of acclaimed comedic actor Gene Wilder, who lit up the funniest movies of the 1970s with an irresistible neurotic charm with a five film tribute on Thursday Sept. 29.  Wilder, who passed Sunday Aug 28 at the age of 83, was a leading man with a comic flair and frizzy hair known for teaming with Mel Brooks on the laugh-out-loud masterpieces The Producers (1968), Blazing Saddles (1974) and Young Frankenstein (1974) was also two-time Oscar nominee, starred as a quirky candy man in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971) and in four films alongside stand-up legend Richard Pryor.

8:00 p.m.  Role Model: Gene Wilder - the movie funnyman sits down with Alec Baldwin for an intimate conversation about Wilder's extensive career
9:15 p.m. Young Frankenstein - A descendant of Dr. Frankenstein sets out to make a man
11:15 p.m. Role Model: Gene Wilder - the movie funnyman sits down with Alec Baldwin for an intimate conversation about Wilder's extensive career
12:30 a.m. Start the Revolution Without Me - Two mismatched sets of identical twins mistakenly exchange identities on the eve of the French Revolution.
2:15 a.m.  The Frisco Kid - A rabbi headed West hooks up with an outlaw.
4:30 a.m.  Bonnie and Clyde - The legendary bank robbers run riot in the South of the 1930s.
