TNT’s Shaquille O’Neal to Serve as Waze Celebrity Voice Navigator During 2016 NBA Playoffs

TNT’s Shaquille O’Neal, an analyst for the network’s Sports Emmy Award-winning Inside the NBA studio show, will help navigate fans through traffic as the celebrity voice for Waze – the free, community-based navigation app  – during the 2016 NBA Playoffs. Starting Wednesday, April 13, and available for a limited time, Waze users will be able to hear Shaq’s voice guide them through traffic, bypass accidents and other roadblocks with lines like “Don’t cause a Shaq-cident” and “BBQ Chicken Alert.” To access Shaq’s voice navigation, fans can download Waze at and select the voice within “Settings – Sound – Voice Navigation – Voice Language –Shaquille O’Neal.”

TNT will serve as the exclusive home to more NBA Playoff games than any network including first and second round action and the exclusive presentation of the 2016 NBA Western Conference Finals. In addition to its full slate of NBA Playoff games, the network also features the iconic Inside the NBA studio team with host Ernie Johnson and analysts Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and O’Neal, nightly throughout the playoffs.

Additionally, NBA TV– co-managed by Turner Sports and the NBA – will feature up to nine originally produced telecasts during the first round of the NBA Playoffs. The network will also provide comprehensive studio coverage via its NBA GameTime studio show throughout the entire playoffs, including on site at The Finals (including integration with the Inside the NBA team). and the NBA App will also be ‘playoffs central’ with series breakdowns, live video coverage, highlights, scores, stats, social interaction, press conferences and more.
