TNTs Extensive Coverage of the 2015 NBA Playoffs Begins Sunday, April 19

More Than 40 NBA Playoff Games on TNT; Exclusive Home of the Eastern Conference Finals

TNT, in its 31st consecutive year of NBA coverage, will televise more than 40 NBA Playoff games – the most of any network – including first and second round action and the exclusive presentation of the 2015 NBA Eastern Conference Finals.  The network’s playoff coverage will tip off Sunday, April 19, with a tripleheader – Brooklyn Nets vs. Atlanta Hawks at 5:30 p.m. ET; Portland Trail Blazers vs. Memphis Grizzlies at 8 p.m. and San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Clippers at 10:30 p.m.

TNT’s NBA Playoff coverage will feature the Sports Emmy Award-winning Inside the NBA presented by Kia studio team of host Ernie Johnson alongside Hall of Famer Charles Barkley, four-time NBA Champion Shaquille O’Neal and two-time NBA Champion Kenny Smith providing pre-game analysis, halftime updates and extensive post-game coverage.

The network will feature several state-of-the-art technological enhancements during the playoffs including super-slow-motion cameras that will provide viewers with gripping replays at key moments of the games.

Coverage will also include the use of robotic cameras placed above each backboard to provide compelling looks at the action and a "steady cam” that will capture compelling close-up shots, along with visuals from player warm-ups used in studio coverage. Additionally, studio coverage will feature a virtual graphics package to showcase key game and player match-ups.

The network’s Sports Emmy Award-winning playoff coverage will include four commentator teams during the first round:

  • Marv Albert with Chris Webber
  • Kevin Harlan with Reggie Miller
  • Brian Anderson with Steve Smith
  • Kevin Calabro with Brent Barry

Reporters will include David Aldridge, Rebecca Haarlow, Lewis Johnson, Allie LaForce, Jaime Maggio, Rachel Nichols and Tracy Wolfson.

TNT Overtime on NBA.com will continue to deliver enhanced coverage for up to 30 playoff games – more than ever before – with exclusive content and analysis from TNT commentators. The unique companion experience – which is sponsored by Sprite and Nissan during the playoffs – allows fans to watch the game via four alternate camera angles including slow motion replays.  The product also provides an opportunity for fans to interact in real-time with an NBA expert and other fans via Twitter, receive enhanced stats and vote on the outcome of each playoff game.

Additionally, live streaming coverage of all NBA on TNT playoff games is available via www.tntdrama.com/watchtnt and the Watch TNT app.  Fans are able to access the games whenever and wherever they desire by logging in with the user name and password provided by their TV service provider.
