Turner cleans up at the Promax Awards

Friday night proved an evening to celebrate when the Turner EMEA and Northern Europe teams took home a whopping five awards at the PromaxBDA Promotion, Marketing & Design Awards which took place at The Hilton, Park Lane, London.
The Northern Europe Sponsorship & Promotions team scooped the "Best Sponsorship Package" - gold award for its Weetabix Weetabuddies campaign for the second year in a row. The campaign was produced by Leah Angell-Metcalf and inspires creativity by encouraging kids to upload their own Weetabuddy creations for a chance to have their characters brought to life.
The NE Creative team also took home Bronze in the "Best Children’s Originated" category for We Bare Bears. The promo, created by Sandra Motulsky, builds on the charming opening sequence from the show and incorporates real kids alongside top notch original animation.
The EMEA Creative team took home the gold for "Best Children's - clip based" for its Mighty Magiswords promo. Produced by Daniel Fuller, the promo used the action sounds the swords make in the show and the vocal skills of beat boxer Killa Kela to produce a music track that builds up into the show's theme music.
Furthermore, the EMEA team was recognised for its work on Cartoon Network's anti-bullying campaign, CN Buddy Network and scooped up a bronze in the "Best Direct Response" category. Produced by Daniel Fuller and El Carousel Creative, the team interviewed separate class groups aged 7-10 at a local school about what makes a good friend. Then used the best quotes/soundbites of each child to animate the CN Buddy Network characters.
Finally, the EMEA team walked away with 'Best Channel Ident (in-house)" for Boomerang Pet Images. Produced by Simon Dean and Light Creative, the team animated the mouths of Boomerang's most famous characters onto real life animals to create this fun in-house ident.
