How Pola Changnon was able to make a career out of her passion

Pola Changnon always had a passion for film but never imagined that it would ultimately lead to a career. After learning that journalism wasn’t for her early on, she took a big risk – returning to school to study screenwriting. She worked a series of jobs in the entertainment industry before finding the right fit.

“Fortunately,” said Changnon, “I ended up in a place where I learned a lot of practical skills.”

She put those skills to good use, and, after ten years, she eventually had the opportunity to join the TCM family.

In this edition of “Conversations,” the senior vice president of TCM shares why being curious is an important trait to have for a successful career.
