Newman: 'My thing was, when is my opinion going to matter?'

Like most people beginning their career in development, Walter Newman was resigned to “the desk.” In other words, he was tasked with answering phones and performing administrative duties – a far cry from the creative work that he dreamed of doing.

“My whole thing was, when is my opinion really going to matter?” Walter said. “When is my opinion going to be the opinion?”
