Turner executives honored as ‘Most Powerful Women in Cable’ by Cablefax

Every year, Cablefax celebrates the men and women who are shaping the media industry and opening doors for minorities across all areas of business.

This year, 12 Turner executives are being recognized for their achievements in the industry as the "Most Powerful Women in Cable", and two of them made the top 50 list.

Cablefax serves the cable community with a variety of services to help many stay abreast of the complex dynamics facing cable executives, as well as opportunities to stay in the know among your peers and colleagues.

Congratulations to the following Turner honorees:

#9 Louise Sams
Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Turner

Louise Sams is the executive vice president and general counsel at Turner. She oversees the company’s legal matters worldwide. Sams directs a staff of 110 lawyers located in cities around the globe. 

#43 Donna Speciale
President of Turner Ad Sales

Donna Speciale is president of Turner Ad Sales, where she oversees all advertising revenue for the company’s domestic entertainment, news and kids multi-media brands.


Sarah Aubrey
EVP, TNT Original Programming

Sarah Aubrey is the executive vice president of TNT Original Programming. Aubrey is responsible for overseeing all development and production of original series and miniseries for the network's rapidly expanding programming slate. Since coming to TNT, Aubrey has already greenlit several series including the network’s highest-rated summer hit “Claws.” Additionally, she helped to develop the TNT series “Animal Kingdom,” “Good Behavior,” and “The Alienist.”

Molly Battin
Executive Vice President and Global Chief Communications and Corporate Marketing Officer, Turner

Molly Battin is the executive vice president and global chief communications and corporate marketing officer at Turner. She is responsible for brand reputation across all platforms, internal and external strategic communications, media planning and buying, media relations and publicity, and assuring that all communications reflect Turner’s core values and advance its business strategy.

Sandra Dewey
President, Studio T and TBS & TNT Business Operations, Entertainment Networks

Sandra Dewey is the president of Turner’s Studio T & TBS/TNT Business Operations. She played a major role in this year’s Screen Actors Guild Awards, in which all awards were presented by women.

Jennifer Dorian
Executive Vice President of Turner Portfolio's 360 Brand Strategy and General Manager of TCM

Jennifer Dorian is the executive vice president of Turner’s Portfolio’s 360 Brand Strategy and general manager of TCM. Dorian leads a company-wide initiative to identify new opportunities for revenue growth from 360-degree brand extensions across Turner networks, franchises, talent, and characters.

Jill King
Senior Vice President, Marketing and Partnerships, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Boomerang

Jill King is the senior vice president of marketing and partnerships at Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang. King oversees all aspects of strategic marketing partnerships, event marketing, and trade marketing for Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, and Boomerang, and their digital businesses. 

Christina Miller
President, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Boomerang

Christina Miller is the president of Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang. She is responsible for leading all aspects of the business in North America as well as global oversight of content development, production, consumer products, and franchise management. Her leadership also extends to overseeing the premium video subscription service, Boomerang.

Jennifer Mirgorod
Executive Vice President, Content Distribution & Strategic Partnerships

Jennifer Mirgorod is the executive vice president of content distribution and strategic partnerships at Turner. Mirgorod creates content distribution strategies with affiliate partners. She is working to expand linear content distribution opportunities and developing new business models between Turner and the North American multichannel video providers.

Donna Northington
Executive Vice President, Distribution Planning & Strategy

Donna Northington is the vice president of distribution planning and strategy at Turner. Northington leads the group that translates strategic distribution initiatives into financial and operating plans, assessing the economic impact of various business decisions and acquisition targets, as well as developing rates, sales incentives, and contract terms for Turner’s domestic distribution. She is also responsible for preparing TCD’s annual budgets and long-range plans. 

Hania Poole
Senior Vice President of NCAA Digital and General Manager of Bleacher Report (B/R) Live

Hania Poole is the senior vice president of NCAA Digital and general manager of B/R Live at Turner. Poole is responsible for content, operations, and product development for the business including NCAA.com, the NCAA Sports App, live digital coverage for all NCAA Championships, and the management of MML. She is also responsible for product development, business strategy and operations, content acquisition, and marketing efforts for Turner’s new OTT sports platform.

Angela Santone
Executive Vice President and Global Chief Human Resources Officer, Turner

Angela Santone is the executive vice president and global chief human resources officer at Turner. Santone leads a global HR strategy that aligns to Turner’s global portfolio of brands and businesses and develops and engages top talent around the world.
