Turner at New York Comic Con 2016 Recap

Teams from Turner networks, Adult Swim, TBS, truTV and Cartoon Network were front and center at New York Comic Con from Oct. 6-9 with talent panels, signings, interactive booths and engage with comic, publishing and entertainment fans from around the world. Here is a look at what took place:

John Martin at Fish Center

Adult Swim
Adult Swim streamed live from inside the convention center for the duration of the event and featured Turner talent and special guests. To kick things off, Jon Glaser (truTV’s Jon Glaser Loves Gear) appeared on Call of Karaoke followed by Turner CEO & Chairman John Martin on Fishcenter.

The Adult Swim signings and panel block (watch the panel at mark 3:43) featured talent from Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell, The Venture Bros., and their newest upcoming series, DreamCorp LLC, slated to premiere on October 23. Adult Swim topped off the weekend with a Tyrannic Maiden Voyage, a three-hour cruise around the Hudson River with the Adult Swim family and surprise music guest, Flying Lotus.

TBS
TBS featured comedy series, People of Earth, premiering October 31, with an alien encounters booth. They also gave fans an inside look at the upcoming series from Conan O’ Brien and Greg Daniels with a screening and Q&A panel with cast members of the show.

truTV
truTV showcased The Impractical Jokers Plan-el (watch the panel at mark 3:28) where they shared a new promo for Impractical Jokers Nitro Circus Spectacular, debuting on November 3, as well as a sneak peek of the upcoming "A Day in the Life" behind-the-scenes special to a room packed with 2,400 fans. Jon Glaser chatted it up on stage with the cast of his new series, Jon Glaser Loves Gear, and discussed how his real life gearhead status manifested into the hybrid comedy set to premiere on October 26.

Rebecca Sugar

Cartoon Network
The talent and crew from Cartoon Network original series Regular Show, Steven Universe and The Powerpuff Girls were there for signings and panels, including Rebecca Sugar (creator, Steven Universe) who used the opportunity to encourage the audience to explore their creativity during a Q&A with fans.
