TCM Celebrates its 8th Annual Classic Film Festival

On April 6, 2017, TCM held its four-day all-inclusive classic film festival for thousands of movie lovers from around the world in Hollywood. Hosted by TCM’s Ben Mankiewicz and Tiffany Vazquez, this year’s attendees experienced Comedy in the Movies with screenings, meet-ups and events featuring industry legends like Lee Grant, Mel Brooks and John Landis. The festival also honored the late mother-daughter powerhouse Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher and long-time, beloved TCM host and film historian Robert Osborne.

Melissa Etheridge Rocks NYC for CNN

To help launch their new series, Soundtracks, CNN brought Grammy-winning performer Melissa Etheridge to New York’s 59th Street subway station for an acoustic set. Subway-riders got to hear some of Melissa’s most popular songs: On Broadway, You Can’t Always Get What You Want, Hold On I’m Coming, This Land Is Your Land, Come To My Window and Bring Me Some Water.

TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL 2017 TO FEATURE TURNER PREMIERES

The Tribeca Film Festival, an annual, signature New York City entertainment industry event, will take place this year from April 19– April 30. Turner will have a significant presence, with CNN Original Series and Film premiering films “Elian” and “The Reagan Show,” as well as original series “Soundtracks: Songs That Defined History.” Cartoon Network will be premiering a short narrative, “Summer Camp Island.”

Bringing Live Streaming to Life for March Madness

This is the seventh year Turner Sports and CBS have partnered to bring fans live coverage of all 67 games from the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship. More people watched “March Madness” this year than ever before averaging 10.827 million viewers and a record 98 million live streams.
