Special week of daily reports from November 10-14 at 7am HKT

This month CNN goes ‘On The Road’ to Thailand to explore the history, culture and lifestyle that make the country unique.

Starting on November 10, ‘On The Road Thailand’ is a week of special daily feature reports on CNN which culminate in a 30-minute special program beginning November 15. There will also be dedicated ‘On The Road Thailand’ content available on At the same time, CNN will also focus on a number of news stories that week, taking a closer look at the key issues making headlines in Thailand.

Hosted by CNN senior international correspondent Paula Newton, ‘On The Road Thailand’ highlights the country’s history, design, innovation, technology, and attitudes. Some of the feature stories include:

The Walled City - explore the beginnings of Thailand’s second largest city and the former capital of the Lanna Kingdom, Chang Mai.

The Lisu Hill Tribes - one of the oldest tribes originating from the Tibetan nomads, they continue to live the same way as their ancestors, holding on to the ancient beliefs and way of life.

The Loi Krathong Festival - the annual festival celebrates positivity with locals releasing floating lanterns into the river and into the night sky to carry away bad luck.

Creative City of the Future - Chiang Mai has been earmarked to develop its rich historical culture into modern innovative opportunities for social, cultural and financial growth.

Elephant Therapy - a ground-breaking experiment in which Thailand’s most sacred animal is helping children with autism to develop key learning skills.

CNN’s ‘On The Road’ series has featured more than a dozen countries including South Korea, Poland, Ghana, Brazil, Myanmar, Japan and Indonesia.
