Jeremy Legg is the chief technology officer for Turner responsible for all aspects of Turner’s linear and digital technologies and resources. In this role, Legg develops the company’s technology strategy, directs its infrastructure investments and manages all technology resources to maximize existing linear businesses and grow revenue in the digital and emerging technology spaces. He serves as a representative to content creators, linear / digital distributors and technology providers across the media and technology industries to build relationships, forge partnerships and identify business/technology opportunities, investments and acquisitions that drive growth for Turner across all platforms. Legg is based in Atlanta and reports to Pascal Desroches, chief financial officer, WarnerMedia and Turner administrative officer.
Previously as head of technology strategy and product monetization, Legg developed the company’s technology strategy and oversaw software development and digital infrastructure for TBS, Inc. In addition, as the former senior vice president of business development and multi-platform distribution for TBS, Inc., Legg oversaw TV Everywhere and all non-linear and product distribution and strategy across broadband, iTV and wireless. Prior to joining Turner, he was vice president of business strategy and development for AOL, Inc., responsible for strategic alliances with telecommunications and broadband providers, PC manufacturers; online providers and retailers; developing corporate strategy for AOL’s broadband initiatives; he also formerly worked at Oracle and Accenture in technology and management consulting roles respectively.
Legg earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Brown University. He currently serves on the board of directors for iStreamPlanet. He is an active member of the National Cable Television Association (NCTA), the Cable Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM), serves on the advisory board at SambaTV, and is a regular speaker and panelist at events such as CES, INTX, and other industry events. In 2016, he received Broadcasting & Cable’s Technology Leadership Award. Through the years, he has received various awards from Multichannel News and CableFax.
