Jorge Carey

Jorge Carey is president of Chilevisión, Turner’s free-to-air broadcast channel in Chile.  He oversees strategic planning, programming and acquisitions, news, network operations, advertising sales, digital media, marketing and creative services, finance, legal, public relations and human resources for the channel.

Carey joined Turner from VTR Global Com, a wholly-owned Liberty Global subsidiary in Chile, where he served as vice chairman of the board and general counsel since 2006. He has also held the additional position of vice president of programming and ad sales of VTR since 2011.

Prior to his tenure at VTR, Carey was a member of Carey & Co., the largest law firm in Chile, specializing in Corporations, Telecommunications and Media. Carey got his professional start as an associate at the US law firm Sullivan & Cromwell in New York.

Carey is a member of the board of ATELMO A.G (, the mobile telephony trade association in Chile and RAD Foundation (, a leading innovation and think tank organization comprised by the leading Chilean companies based on market capitalization. He is also member of the board and of the executive committee of País Digital Foundation (, the leading organization in Chile promoting the adoption and understanding of digital technologies.
