Mari Ghuneim Joins truTV as Vice President of Digital Strategy & Development

Daniel Manu Named Senior Director of Digital Programming

Mari GhuneimMari Ghuneim has joined truTV as vice president of digital strategy and development. In this role, she is responsible for guiding and executing truTV's digital strategy, working closely with the network's marketing team and other departments to create, support and extend truTV experiences across a wide variety of platforms. Ghuneim is based in New York and reports to Puja Vohra, senior vice president of marketing and digital for truTV.

truTV has also hired Daniel Manu, who reports to Ghuneim as senior director of digital programming. Manu is responsible for developing creative content in support of truTV marketing and brand initiatives across truTV platforms.

Ghuneim and Manu come to truTV as the network undergoes an extensive brand refresh. Starting this October, the network is going to be the place for fun, with a slate of new original series that are innovative, surprising and irresistibly shareable. In conjunction with its new programming focus, truTV is refreshing its brand image with a multi-tiered campaign touting truTV as Way More Fun.

Mari Ghuneim comes to truTV after serving as a digital media and brand-marketing consultant for television networks and digital entertainment companies. Prior to that, she was vice president of digital media for Bravo, where she oversaw a period of tremendous market growth for and Ghuneim joined Bravo after serving as executive director for AOL in the lifestyle and entertainment areas.

Ghuneim has won numerous awards during her career. She was named one of the top women in cable technology by Cablefax, and was selected as a NAMIC Luminary. Her work has received an Emmy, several Interactive Media Primetime Emmy nominations and a Media Vanguard Award from Ad Age.

Daniel ManuDaniel Manu joins truTV after serving as editorial director for, where he oversaw editorial operations, brand management, social media, custom content and games for the award-winning digital property from 2007 to 2014. For the two years prior to that, he was director of content for TV Guide Online, managing the creation and production of all daily editorial content for Manu's work for the two companies earned numerous accolades, including an Interactive Media Award, an Ad Age Media Vanguard Award, a Bloggie Award and an OMMA Award.
