TBS Goes Home with NBA Legend Kenny Smith and Family
In Meet the Smiths, Premiering in April

Reality Comedy Starring Kenny Smith, Gwendolyn Osborne-Smith and their Amazing Kids
Premieres Friday, April 3, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT)

Combine a legendary sports star with a beautiful and talented actress-model-singer, and it can be a match made in Heaven. Toss in five kids, and it's a recipe for unpredictable craziness. This Spring, NBA legend Kenny Smith and his wife, Gwendolyn Osborne-Smith, along with their blended family, star in TBS's brand new series Meet the Smiths. The half-hour unscripted comedy from the producers of Run’s House, is set to premiere Friday, April 3, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT) on TBS and will be available across TBS's on-demand, digital and mobile platforms the following day.

The family at the center of Meet the Smiths is headed by Kenny and Gwen, who probably never would have guessed when they got married that their conflicting parenting styles, whirlwind schedules and family chemistry would turn their quiet home into an absolute mad house – albeit one full of abundant love.

With five kids ranging in age from age 2 to 21, a successful wife and an accomplished career both on and off the basketball court, Kenny has just about everything he needs to be considered the Coolest Dad on Earth – everything that is except the ability to impress his own kids. After all, he and Gwen are raising a family of all-stars. The older kids – Kayla, Monique and KJ – are excelling at the arts, academics and sports, and little Malloy and London prove daily that they are hot on the heels of their siblings.

Each week, Kenny and Gwen must manage a household that has many moving parts in order to accomplish their ultimate goal: keeping their large family of big personalities happy, healthy and going strong – together. That becomes quite an accomplishment in the face of a friendly competitive streak that Kenny and Gwen seem to have when it comes to dealing with their kids and even their relationship to one another. Whether they’re trying to one-up each other with anniversary gifts, haggling over when and how to renovate a bathroom, figuring out how to teach their kids an important lesson, or challenging each other to a foot race, Kenny and Gwen do everything in a big way – with a lot of fun and a whole lot of love.

In addition to the Smith family, Meet the Smiths features appearances by many of the people in Kenny and Gwen's lives, including Kenny's Inside the NBA colleagues Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal.

Shot in Los Angeles and Atlanta, Meet the Smiths is produced by Good Clean Fun, with Jason Carbone (Run's House, Tia and Tamera and The Bachelor), Nick Lee (Run's House, Tia and Tamera and The Bachelor), Jeff Altrock (The T.O. Show, Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family) and Kenny Smith serving as executive producers.
