The Guest Book Production Bios
Greg Garcia is the creator, executive producer and director of THE GUEST BOOK, which premieres August 3 on TBS. Prior to that, he created three back-to-back syndicated comedies: YES, DEAR, MY NAME IS EARL and RAISING HOPE. In 2006, Greg won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for the pilot of MY NAME IS EARL. Garcia has also recently entered the world of Broadway, co-writing the book for the new musical ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids and doing things like working at Burger King during the writer’s strike just for the hell of it.
Alix Jaffe was named President of Greg Garcia’s production company, Amigos de Garcia, in July 2013. She is an Executive Producer on TBS’s THE GUEST BOOK and was a Producer on CBS’s THE MILLERS, both created by Garcia. Prior to Amigos, Jaffe worked in CBS’s current department since 2000, and was named VP of Current Programs for CBS in June 2004, overseeing many primetime series including BLUE BLOODS, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT and UNDER THE DOME. She also oversaw the late-night show THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH CRAIG FERGUSON. Before that, Jaffe had been Director, Current Programs since November 2000, working on CBS’S East Coast-based programs in New York before relocating to Los Angeles in 2001. Jaffe joined CBS in New York in January 1994 as assistant manager in the promotion marketing department, working her way up to director and playing an important role in the inaugural SURVIVOR marketing campaign.
