UPFRONT 2017: TBS greenlights "Close Enough," new animated series from J.G. Quintel

TBS has greenlit "Close Enough," a new animated series from "Regular Show" creator J.G. Quintel. The surreal comedy about a family growing up without getting old marks the first collaboration between Cartoon Network Studios and Studio T, both divisions of Turner. It also marks Quintel's first project for the company since his Emmy®-winning work on Cartoon Network's long-running "Regular Show."

UPFRONT 2017: TBS greenlights anthology comedy "Miracle Workers," starring Daniel Radcliffe and Owen Wilson

TBS has greenlit "Miracle Workers," an anthology comedy series starring Daniel Radcliffe and Owen Wilson, The series is executive-produced by Lorne Michaels and created by Simon Rich, who will also serve as showrunner on the series. Scheduled to launch on TBS in 2018 with seven episodes, the first season of Miracle Workers will be a Heaven-set workplace comedy based on Rich's book "What in God's Name."

UPFRONT 2017: The Dress Up Gang coming to TBS in all-new series

TBS has greenlit a new series from the comedy trio The Dress Up Gang, whose viral videos include the popular "My Roommate, My Friend" series. The Dress Up Gang's creators, Donny Divanian and Cory Loykasek are set to star in the series, with special appearances by fellow team-member and creator Robb Boardman, who will also write and direct. Dave Kneebone, Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim serve as executive producers on the series, which is produced by Absolutely in association with Turner's Studio T.

UPFRONT 2017: Snoop Dogg to host TBS's reimagined iconic game show "The Joker's Wild"

TBS is teaming up with entertainment icon and actor Snoop Dogg to refresh and update the classic game show "The Joker's Wild." Snoop Dogg, who counted "The Joker's Wild" as his favorite game show growing up, will host TBS's new version. The half-hour game show with a comedic edge is being produced by Sony Pictures Television, in association with Turner's Studio T. Snoop Dogg will executive produce along with two-time Emmy winner and Super Bowl Champion Michael Strahan.

UPFRONT 2017: TBS's Tracy Morgan comedy "The Last O.G." casts Cedric The Entertainer, Taylor Mosby & Dante Hoagland

TBS has cast Cedric the Entertainer, Taylor Mosby and Dante Hoagland as regulars in the upcoming comedy series "The Last O.G.," starring multiple Emmy® nominee Tracy Morgan. They join previously announced regulars Allen Maldonado, Ryan Gaul and Tiffany Haddish in the scripted comedy. Produced by Turner's Studio T, the series was created by Jordan Peele and John Carcieri.

UPFRONT 2017: Tony winner Daveed Diggs boards TNT's "Snowpiercer" pilot, to be directed by Scott Derrickson

TNT has cast Daveed Diggs, who earned a Tony® for the Broadway hit "Hamilton," to star in the network's drama pilot "Snowpiercer," which will be directed by "Doctor Strange" helmer Scott Derrickson. Derrickson will also serve as an executive producer on the series.

Turner’s truTV Announces 2017-18 Programming Slate with 18 Creator-Driven Comedic Series, Pilots, and Renewals

truTV announced a 2017-18 programming slate that includes eight returning series, five new series, and five pilots and projects in development. Highlights include all-new series Laff Mobb’s Laff Tracks, which joins previously-announced series I’m Sorry, The Chris Gethard Show, At Home with Amy Sedaris, and Bobcat Goldthwait’s Misfits & Monsters launching later this year and in early 2018. truTV will also bolster its base of returning series, announcing new seasons of Impractical Jokers, Jon Glaser Loves Gear and The Carbonaro Effect, plus additional episodes of Hack My Life, Comedy Knockout and You Can Do Better. Finally, the network’s development pipeline includes projects from Molly Austin and Shamikah Martinez, Liza Treyger, Michael Torpey, The Kloons, and Rose Schlossberg.
