Chilevisión has added another statue to the trophy case, along with a fat production grant!  At the recent National Television Council (CNTV) awards, the channel took top honors in the category of “International Co-production.”  CNTV selected Chilevisión’s proposal for a mini-series called Héroes Invisibles and will fund the series’ production through a grant.  Rodrigo Díaz, the executive producer of Chilevisión’s fictional programming, received the award on behalf of the channel before a live gala audience that included Chilean president Michelle Bachelet.

Héroes Invisibles is a political drama inspired by the true story of a Finnish diplomat facing the complex humanitarian situation in Chile after the 1973 coup d’état.  Thanks to the CNTV grant, series production will begin in 2018.

“This award is a recognition of the quality of this particular project, as well as the seriousness of past channel productions,” said Díaz.  “We are all very proud.”

Chilevisión’s fictional programming department produces one premium series a year and generates 180 hours of content for Lo que callamos las mujeres (120 chapters per season) and Vidas en riesgo (60 chapters).
