Turner Latin America has acquired the rights to first division soccer in Argentina jointly with Fox Latin America for a period of up to 10 years.  The announcement was made by Whit Richardson, president of Turner Latin America.

“We are elated to have attained such a comprehensive package of rights representing the very best of Argentine soccer, and promise to deliver a truly game-changing soccer viewing experience to our audiences throughout the country,” said Richardson.  “We are focused on putting fan engagement at the center of all we do, and we know there are few places where you will find more loyal and engaged fans than the Argentine soccer world.”

This acquisition is the latest in a long series of important investments Turner has made in Argentina, the company’s largest international hub outside of the United States.  Turner is already home to the #1 rated Pay TV portfolio in Argentina and this acquisition compounds the strength of the Turner offering exponentially.
